Marlins Need Only 2 Hits to Beat Braves

The Marlins had 2 hits both by Cliff Floyd and still beat the Atlanta Braves 1-0. Cliff Floyd had both hits, but the second, a solo home run in the top of the 10th, gave the Marlins the victory. Ryan Dempster pitched 8 strong innings, allowing no runs on 4 hits with 7 strikeouts. Braden Looper earned the win by shutting down the Braves in the ninth, and Antonio “The Dragon Slayer” Alfonseca closed the bottom of the tenth for his 21st save in 23 opportunities. With one game left in the season, the Marlins have already won 10 more games then last season.
