The Marlins have agreed to terms on a three-year contract with third baseman Mike Lowell. Lowell, 27, batted .270 with a 22 home runs and 91 RBI in his first full Major League season. His team-high 38 doubles were the third-highest total in Club history behind Cliff Floyd’s 45 in 1998 and Bobby Bonilla’s 39 in 1997. Lowell’s 11 sacrifice hits last season tied for fifth in the National League and were the second-highest in team history behind Jeff Conine’s 12 in 1995.
