Adding A-Rod to the Marlins is exactly the wrong kind of fix for this franchise.

Have we not learned that when the Marlins make business-centric moves, they fail? Let’s make a smart baseball decision to build a winner.

I’m not saying I prefer Valazquez or Murphy over old A-Rod. Concerned that he’s a side-show/distraction from FO seeking a better solution.

Heath Bell came in as big-time closer and stunk. His presence and performance was huge minus on the club. Why risk that with A-Rod.

To be clear, getting an old A-Rod-like player never hurts, but it is a distraction. Front office should focus on making baseball decisions.

Of course, the real upside to the rumored A-Rod trade would be watching Heath Bell get demolished in NY. That town will eat him alive.
