Here’s one photo from last night’s loss to the Giants. Will try to post more tonight.

With a full moon hovering over the ballpark, Sean West played with fire all night long and eventually was burned on the grand slam. Marlins made a serious run in the 9th but ultimately Bonifacio struck out with the tying run at third grounded out to the pitcher with the tying run at third.

The Miami Herald is showing off new photos of the ballpark, primarily focused on the park space around the ballpark and how it interacts with the neighborhood. In addition, we get our first photo of the actual playing field featuring a large scoreboard, a silver-colored Marlins logo, and our first look at the previously mention animatronic Marlin in center field (first photo, middle, surrounded by water fountains).

Here are the rest of the photos:

Hanley Ramirez at Yankee Stadium in 2006

Don’t forget to watch our very own Hanley Ramirez lead-off tonight’s game. Let’s hope that Dan Uggla gets a chance to play too.

Note: Photo above is of Hanley at bat, the last time he and the Marlins played at Yankee Stadium (2006)

Hanley Ramirez bats against the Oakland Athletics

With a chance to move into first place, our Fish found new ways to lose, leaving Oakland with only 1 win in 3 games. Unlike the first two games, the Marlins never came back on Sunday. We sat behind home plate and watched Mike Rabelo make several mental errors, Andrew Miller repeatedly show his frustration, and Hanley Ramirez toss has bat, nearly hitting the A’s catcher.

Update: For those that wondered, we’ve now seen the Marlins play in 13 different MLB stadiums.

Update 2: Added more photos.

Barry Bonds Homers of Rick Vanden Hurk

Barry Bonds hit his 754th career home run tonight off Marlins rookie Rick VandenHurk. This photo actually captures that pitch just before Bonds swung at it and hit it to left center. No matter what you think of Bonds, and I have some strong views on him, this moment was very exciting.

Fish fans — if you’re at AT&T park this weekend, stop by section 102. We are the guys in the Fish@Bat shirts.
