Doesn’t seem like Marlins overpaid for Carlos Lee. Dominguez never panned out, looked more like a AAAA player.

Marlins Acquire Carlos Lee

Seeking a productive bat in the lineup, the Marlins have acquired Carlos Lee from the Houston Astros for Matt Dominguez and Rob Rasmussen. Lee will take over 1B from Gaby Sanchez, who is likely headed to the minors. The Marlins didn’t seem to pay a significant cost for Lee as Dominguez was never able to get his hitting going at the Major League level and Houston may be on the hook for some or all of Lee’s remaining 2012 salary.
