Marlins lose 2-0 to the Nationals on opening day. Solid performance by Nolasco, Qualls and Dunn but lineup couldn’t generate any offense.
RT @MLBNetworkRadio: .@Marlins RF @Giancarlo818 @MikeFerrinSXM & @Jim_Duquette he still loves #OpeningDay.
The good news is that the Marlins have the top of the lineup due up in the 9th. Need to get a runner on for Giancarlo.
All in all, @Marlins should be happy with today’s pitching performance – 8 IP, 5 H, 2 R.

Meanwhile, John Buck is 1-2 with a run and an RBI for the NY Mets.
Marlins strand runner on first, down 2-0 going to the bottom of the 8th. Somehow a 2-run deficit feels insurmountable.
